Ingredients
  

  • 2 cup uncooked Japanese rice
  • 1 ½ cup water
  • 150 g bamboo shoot
  • 1 Aburaage
  • 2 ½ Tablespoon soy sauce HERE to buy
  • 1 ½ Tablespoon mirin HERE to buy
  • 1 ½ Tablespoon sake HERE to buy
  • 1/2 Tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dashi powder HERE to buy

  • Wash uncooked rice and drain the water well.
  • In a medium bowl, add Aburaage and hot water. This is called 'Abura-nuki'. Soak for a few minutes.
  • Wash bamboo shoot.

Let's cook!

  • Cut bamboo shoot if necessary.
  • Cut the Aburaage into thinly sliced.
  • Add uncooked rice, water, soy sauce, mirin, sake, sugar, dashi powder. Mix throughly once.
  • Then add the bamboo shoot and Aburaage on top.
  • Close the rice cooker and start cooking.

Let's eat!

  • After done cooking, open the rice cooker and mix everything. Serve to a bowl and add your favorite toppings such as green onion!
