Ingredients

  • 350 g rice If you use a rice cooker measuring cup (1 cup is 150g ), make 1 cup. 1 cup gives you 350g after rice is cooked.
  • 1 teaspoon dashi powder HERE to buy
  • 1 teaspoon mirin HERE to buy
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil HERE to buy
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoon soy sauce HERE to buy
  • 1 teaspoon white sesame seeds HERE to buy

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cook ride first. HERE is how to make rice.
  • If you want to evacuate mirin alcohol, use a double of mirin you use, and add mirin to a pot and turn the heat to medium.
When the mirin starts boiling, boil for 30 seconds at least and turn the heat off. Afterwards, you will get the amount of mirin you will use.

Let's cook!

  • Gather all the ingredients.
  • Mix dashi powder, mirin, sesame oil, soy sauce, and white sesame seeds in a bowl.
  • Add the mixture to the warm rice. Mix everything evenly.
  • Divide into four equal sections.
  • Prepare a cling wrap and add the mixture onto it. Then make it triangle or circle whichever you want, but make sure it should be flat.
  • In a large flat pan, add a piece of parchment paper onto it and turn the heat to medium-low.
  • When the pan starts to get warm, add the rice balls (the maximum is 4).
  • Turn the heat to low and cook for 4 minutes on each side or until the surface gets brown color.
  • After both sides of onigiri are cooked, turn the heat off!
  • Let's serve! Yaki Onigiri is good by itself.
