Wonton Soup is really easy to make and is a great use for leftover Gyoza wrappers that you might otherwise not be sure how to use. This is a perfect soup for cold winter!

Wonton
- 10 slices gyoza wrappers
- 50 g ground meat (pork, chicken or beef) your choice of meat
- 1 scallion (green onion)
Soup
- 500 ml water
- 2 teaspoon torigara soup base HERE to buy
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger
- 1 scallion (green onion)
Topping
- freshly ground black pepper
Preparation
Cut green onion into small pieces for mixture.
Cut green onion into 1 inch (2.54cm) long for soup.
In a bowl, add ground meat, the cut green onion, and salt. Mix well.
Mince the ginger.
Wonton
Prepare gyoza wrappers and put some water in a bowl.
Add the mixture in the middle of gyoza wrapper. The filling should be 0.4 inches (about 1 cm) thick.
Put water on the sides of the wrapper and fold it in half. Do this process for all gyoza wrappers.
Use spoon's bottom and push the edges together in order to close well.
Wonton soup
In a pot, turn the heat to medium and add water, torigara soup base, and the ginger.
Once the soup starts boiling, turn the heat to medium low and add the wontons, and the cut green onion. Cook for 5 minutes.
