This milky delicious side dish is called Ebi Mayo and it can be your addiction! I am a big fan of shrimp and I can’t stop eating this side dish by itself or with rice!
What is Ebi Mayo
Ebi means shrimp and Mayo means mayonnaise. The sauce is based on mayonnaise with added milk, ketchup, and some ingredients. Just like Ebi Chili, it is made by covering with batter and cooked with sauce. The mayonnaise-based sweet seasoning is especially popular with children.
The popular shrimp side dish Ebi Chili is a Chinese food that was made to suite Japanese taste, but Ebi Mayo was born in Japan and not found in authentic Chinese food.
